Stainless Steel Fasteners also known as inox steel or inox fasteners from the French “inoxydable” is a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5 % chromium. A2 Bolts (304, 18/8) is a inox stainless steel bolts and is non-magnetic. In A2 bolts material the chromium provides a corrosion and oxidation resistance, however it can tarnish. SS 304 bolts are the most common stainless steel bolts. SS 304 fasteners contains both chromium (between 18–20%) and nickel (between 8–10.5%) metals as the main non-iron constituents. A2 bolt is an austenitic stainless steel. SS Studding (Threaded Rod) A2 & A4 are less electrically and thermally conductive than carbon steel and is essentially non-magnetic.
