ASTM B574 Bar is capable of resisting attacks from chlorine dioxide, hypochlorite and wet chlorine gas. These bars display excellent resistance to various oxidizing media. The molybdenum and tungsten content in these bars, makes them resistant to various types of reducing media. These round bars and bars are also known as UNS N10665, UNS N6022 and UNS N10276. Hastelloy C276 Round Bar is an alloy of nickel-chromium and to this has been added small amounts of aluminum, iron, columbium, titanium and molybdenum. These bars are used in thrust reversers, fasteners, subservice safety valves, tubing materials, gas turbines, mandrels, aircraft engines, industrial fasteners, etc.

Hastelloy C22 Round Bar Equivalent Grades are JIS NW 6022, WERKSTOFF NR. 2.4602, EN NiCr21Mo14W and UNS N06022. The Tensile Strength of Hastelloy C22 is 690 MPa (1,00,000 Psi) and the Yield Strength is 310 MPa (45,000 Psi). Hastelloy C22 has an Elongation of 45% and a Melting Point of 1399 °C (2550 °F). The Density of Hastelloy C22 is 8.69 g/cm3. Hastelloy C22 is an alloy of chromium-molybdenum-nickel and it shows better resistance to crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and pitting. At temperatures ranging from ambient to elevated, Hastelloy C22 shows excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid.

ASTM B574 is a Standard Specification for Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum, Low-Carbon Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium, Low-Carbon Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium-Tantalum, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Copper, and Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tungsten Alloy Rod

ASTM B574 specification covers rod of low-carbon nickel-chromium- molybdenum alloys (UNS N10276, N06022, N06035, N06455, N06058, and N06059), low-carbon nickel-molybdenum- chromium-tantalum (UNS N06210), low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-copper alloy (UNS N06200), and low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten (UNS N06686), for use in general corrosive service. ASTM B574 Product and chemical analyses shall be performed on the materials and shall conform to the required chemical composition in molybdenum, chromium, iron, tungsten, cobalt, carbon, silicon, manganese, vanadium, phosphorus, sulfur, titanium, nickel, aluminum, copper, and tantalum. Tension test shall be performed and shall comply to required mechanical properties for hot or cold finished, solution annealed rods such as tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation.
