ASTM B151 Bar is included in the ASTM B151 specification which covers Cupro Nickel 70/30 and Cupro Nickel 90/10 rods and round bars. Cupro Nickel 90/10 and Cupro Nickel 70/30 Round Bar are alloys of nickel-chromium, to which have been added titanium, iron, aluminum, columbium and molybdenum. These ASTM B151 bars and round bars display excellent resistance to corrosion, they have good weldability, they are treatable by heat, they have high strength and they have superb formability.
Cupro Nickel 90/10 Round Bar Equivalent Grades are UNS C70600 and WERKSTOFF NR. 2.0872. The Chemical Composition of Copper Nickel 90/10 is Ni 9-11 max, Fe 1.8 max, Cu 88.6 min, Pb 0.05 max, Zn 1 max and Mn 1.0 max. Copper Nickel 90/10 has a Melting Point of 2260 °F and an Elongation of 30%. The Density of Copper Nickel 90/10 is 0.323 lb/in3. Copper Nickel 90/10 has a Yield Strength of 20,000 psi and a Tensile Strength of 50,000 psi. Copper Nickel 90/10 is used in many different applications such as desalination units, offshore fire water systems, aquaculture fish crates, heat condensers, hydraulic lines, sea water pipe-work, heat exchangers, tubes in power plants and ships, etc.

1. Scope
1.1 ASTM B151 specification establishes the requirements for copper-nickel-zinc and copper-nickel rod and bar for general application produced from Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C70600, C70620, C71500, C71520, C74500, C75200, C75700, C76400, C77000, and C79200.
1.1.1 Copper Alloys UNS Nos. C70620 and C71520 are for product intended for welding applications.
1.1.2 Units—The values stated in either inch-pound or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, SI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the standard.
